Staff Arrival Dates
As you are trying to figure out rides and listening to staff talk, we just want to make sure you are clear about what day/time you are expected to arrive at camp (there are some differences amongst you). If this seems incorrect in any way, let Alli know!
Reminders: Check with Alli BEFORE booking plane tickets. It takes 3 hours to get from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Camp. If this is your first time driving up here give yourself 4 hours.
Remember that this document exists: The Beginning and the End
Need a Ride or a place to stay in Minneapolis the night before camp? Here are your options: Post on the FB group or Email Alli and she will help

Alpha Games: Battle of Foley Frontier
*On the last day of each session we have a special event called Alpha Games. The events of Alpha Games lead up to a bountiful feast and culminate in our Awards/Closing Campfire. You each need to bring endless enthusiasm and be ready to step into any role that may be assigned to you throughout this event.
Things are about to get interesting, and maybe a little bit messy! We will guide campers to work with their team to become their session’s ALPHA. By competing in individual and team challenges, we will ultimately crown the winning team. This is new this summer, so your energy and passion is a must. Each year the events will change slightly depending on the overarching theme (this year it’s Whitefish Lake). The day will commence Breakfast and awards as usual – come dressed in your team colors!! There will be time to practice cheers before we jump into an all-out color-throwing battle. All teams will then gather on the large field for some Minute-to-Win-it style games and various challenges. Each session a regatta and final counselor event will end the physical battles before we have our Alpha Feast. The final chance for team points will be Trivia during the meal. By the end of the day, the Alpha of the session will be announced!
Some of you will act as team captains, some will use your creativity and energy to run one of the challenges, some of you may be judges of the competitions, and some of you may be assigned behind the scenes work to get camp ready for the next session. No matter your role, your support and passion to make this day great for the campers must be top notch. We are rounding out the camp experience with a truly incredible event!
Costumes: No set costume is required, but be sure to pack green, red, blue, yellow and orange wearable items (Pants, shoes, shirt, leggings, tutus, face paint, bandanas, etc.) Get creative, set the tone for the SECOND annual Alpha Games, and make this an unforgettable event!!
Late Night Adventure
Late Night Adventure is an evening that campers have the opportunity to stay up later than normal, followed by a sleep-in morning! After dinner, campers will get ready for the Grand Dance Festival, followed by a camp favorite – Flick and Float (a boat in movie down by the lake).
What to Bring: If you have any glow in the dark items or blacklight reactive clothing, be sure to bring them!
4th of July
1st Session campers will celebrate the 4th of July at Camp Foley in truly patriotic fashion. Staff should be sure to pack something festive in red, white and blue!
