Every summer we have a traditional award we give out here at Camp Foley at every Friendship Campfire, the Anchor Award.
Since 1984, each session at least two Anchor Awards are given out (one boy and one girl) to campers who demonstrate the six character traits we often talk about here at Foley. The recipients of this award must be caring, respectful, show fairness, be responsible, be good citizens, and show they are trustworthy.
Counselors nominate campers who show these character traits and demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities, and the directors/assistant directors selects the recipients of the award from the nominees. All nominees must also have been to Camp Foley for a minimum of five weeks in order to be eligible for the award. Join us in acknowledging the 2021 Anchor Award winnners!
