We’ve talked about the prestigious awards and the Anchor award winners, now it’s time to take a look at the impressive Milestones our campers, staff, and ONE DOG achieved this summer.
Hall of Fame
24 years ago the Camp Foley Hall of Fame began, in order to provide an opportunity for members of the Foley community, who had spent at least 10 summers at camp, to share their experiences and be recognized for their time at camp. The Hall of Fame still continues to this day! In order to be eligible, you must have spent at least 10 years at Camp Foley and have written a 500-word essay about what camp means to you. At the end of the session, those who are eligible read their entire essay in front of camp, and share their favorite camp memories from their time at camp. This year we had six additions to the Camp Foley Hall of Fame. Congratulations to the most recent inductees!
We had one very special Inductee this summer… Nike the Dog! She wrote her bridge crossing essay and Marie read for the entire camp. She even got her pin, which now stays on her collar.
Bridge Crossing
We had 24 Campers and Staff members complete their Bridge Crossing this summer. These individuals have completed at least 5 summers at Camp Foley and wrote a 500-word essay about what camp means to them. Will 2022 be your fifth or more summer at Foley? If you haven’t written your Bridge Crossing 500-word essay yet, now is the time! You can email your completed essay to fun@CampFoley.com, and we’ll have it ready for you to read next summer.
Congrats to all our Bridge Crossers: Nora Boyd, Skylar Bartz, Seleen Burns, Ace Cessor-Culver, Joel Crum, Reese Dawson, Lily Emerson, Ella Flynn, Landen Frederick, Sophie Garza, Isa Gutrich, Oliver Hayes, Ben Johnson, Ava Mahan-Cleveland, Alison Mitchell, Violet Nance, M.C. Rauenhorst, Caroline Reynolds, Emily Ridder, Sam Rocheford, Maggie Tell, Dyllan Wellhausen, Aidan Wulff, Joe Zarrilli
