We really want to make sure all of our Foley friends out there celebrate Halloween right this year! So we’re putting together a list of all things Halloween for you to enjoy!
What To Do This Halloween
Make Some Tasty Treats
We’ve compiled a list of some spooktacular (had to) Halloween treats for you to make as a family!
- Ghost Cookies: Made with delicious Nutter Butters and super easy to make! Need a peanut-free option? Why not make these White Chocolate Covered Pretzel Ghosts?
- Monster Mouths: A fun twist on eating apple slices with peanut butter (or perhaps sun butter)! Just three ingredients.
- Mummy Dogs: We’re OBSESSED with these. They are so adorable and look pretty tasty if we do say so ourselves.
- Pumpkin Seeds: If you haven’t ever roasted your pumpkin seeds after carving a pumpkin, we highly recommend it. There are lots of ways to spice it up, but the traditional roasted kind with a dash of salt is our favorite. Just 1.5 cups of pumpkin seeds + 2 teaspoons of melted butter (or olive/vegetable oil) tossed together with some salt. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Caramel Apples and that Break and Bake Halloween cookies are always easy and a great treat as well.
Carve Some Pumpkins
Jack-o-Lanterns are a staple for Halloween. While we definitely admire some people’s creativity by decorating pumpkins with ribbons, thumbtacks or paint… we really appreciate a good ol’ fashioned carved pumpkin. Better Homes and Gardens has put together the greatest collection of free, printable pumpkin stencils. Some of our favorites are below:

Get Out of the House
It may be getting chillier, but there is no reason not to bundle up and get out of the house!
- Visit a pumpkin patch! Rather than getting your pumpkin from the grocery store or flower shop, why not go straight to the source?
- Rake some leaves! If your family hasn’t already bagged all your leaves, get outside and rake the yard. When was the last time you jumped in a pile of leaves? It’s still fun, we promise!
- Go apple picking! It’s the perfect time of year to go pick apples at an apple orchard. You can use your apples to make some tasty treats, such as the monster mouths above.
- Get lost in a corn maze! Corn mazes are a super fun time, but remember to use the buddy system.
- Go to a haunted house! If you’re feeling brave this Halloween season maybe you should visit a haunted house! Some have age restrictions so make sure to do your research first.
- See what’s happening in your city! Zoos, museums and amusement parks often have special Halloween-themed activities. A quick web search will provide you with plenty of options.
