‘Thank you’ is usually reactive. Someone gives you something – you say ‘thank you,’ another person holds the door open for you – you say ‘thank you,’ and etc. What if we made it proactive? Meaning, what if we went out of our way to say ‘Thank You’ to our whole community in a unique way?
One of the easiest ways to do this is by volunteering or getting involved and giving back to your community. It is a great way to say thank you to the bigger picture of the community. Show gratitude for your community by being active members through service projects, volunteer opportunities, or starting your own initiative. Our hope is that we can spread kindness and show appreciation through acts of service. Bringing joy to the people around us is the ultimate ‘thank you’. What better way to promote more kind gestures than to, without prompting, give back and donate your time and energy to the betterment of others?
We’ve included links to community involvement opportunities in some major cities in which a large portion of our camp families are located. If you do not live within these cities, do a quick Google search for volunteer opportunities near you! We hope you’ll take a look and get involved!
